As a construction material, wood is currently undergoing a global revival, taking centre stage in this instalment, which presents recent works displaying contemporary and innovative applications of this timeless and environmentally conscious medium. These ten civic and community-focused buildings all use regional, native timbers as their signature material, displaying refinements in engineered timber, such as glulam (CLT), as well as integration with the surrounding landscape.
