In 2023 it will be exactly 100 years since the Maison d'Artiste was designed by Theo van Doesburg and Cor van Eesteren for a De Stijl exhibition in Paris in 1923. The cardboard model was quickly lost, but the black and white photos have been published worldwide.

This book was written by Mick Eekhout, a professor of Product Development at Delft University of Technology, in his general cultural interest. In Delft, students under his guidance attempted between 1999 and 2004 to test the feasibility, reconstruct the geometry and color composition, and built a large- scale model.

The goal of the traveling exhibition '100 Years Myth of Maison d'Artiste' is to give the Maison d'Artiste a digital renaissance from architecture and construction technology to experience.
