Divided across two main themes, this issue of C3 magazine explores the meaning of community and its relationship with the individual through the lens of recent public works and institutions.
Of the sixteen featured projects, half are cultural institutions, namely museums and libraries, and the rest are buildings for care and education. Included in the first category are Helen & Hard’s Vennesla Library and Culture House, Museum of Handcraft Paper by TAO, and Cooroy Library by Brewster Hjorth Architects. In the second are innovative buildings like Farming Kindergarten by Vo Trong Nghia Architects, Timber Dentistry by Kohki Hiranuma, and Råå Kay Care Centre by Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter.
