Playing is learning and fun, fun and learning. What better way to get to know a landscape, to invent it, to show it, to understand it, than by playing?

With this issue we wanted to do just that: have fun and learn, look at the landscape through play. At different scales and locations: play areas in urban and rural environments, parks, playgrounds in schools and nurseries, but also with small-scale objects and design elements.

This issue of paisea wants to show free and spontaneous play without barriers, as well as when it is planned and designed. To learn from the freshness and inventiveness of the past in order to bring about changes in the play of the future.

This issue of paisea wants to show free and spontaneous play without barriers, as well as when it is planned and designed. To learn from the freshness and inventiveness of the past in order to bring about changes in the play of the future. It wants to show ideas that are not governed by the obsession with security and restrictive regulations, which only lead to standard designs. Probably all of that is unnecessary; often all you need is the landscape.
